SHANGHAI, Jul. 20 (SMM) - China’s exports of galvanized plate were dampened on weak demand from major consuming countries and intensified market competition, SMM reports.
Demand from India weakened now that the country’s exporters turned to home sales on anemic demand from the Middle East and Africa. Demand from the US showed no improvement with price gains in the country due mainly to results of anti-dumping measures imposed on China’s galvanized plate.
Meanwhile, steel plants in Turkey and India lowered their export price for galvanized plate last week. These factors are major contributing factors to the drop in China’s galvanized plate exports.
